GTS-R on autotrader for £25.000!!

in my relentless quest to get myself a gts-r ive just seen one come up on autotrader for 25 grand, its only done 11,000 miles which is very low for its age but it just seems over priced from what ive seen these cars go for in recent years, i mean you can get year old monaros for a little bit more than that price, what do any of you guys think? is it a fair price or not for an example like this.
Im thinkin of going to have a look at it but as its in norfolk and im in cheshire i dont want to be making wasted journeys

I agree, seems overpriced to me. Admittedly I'm no expect but have been keeping my eye on few cars over the last year. There was a 2002 car with a supercharger, one owner, up for just under 20K, not a GTS-R granted. Theres one up for sale for 15K but another member here went to see it and said it looked a little tired, probably not 10 grands worth of tired though !!

Anyway, as I say, I'm no expect just my opinion. I'm sure the HSV boys will be along soon to comment on the price !!

(and 2 year old Monaro VXRs are 5K less than that !!)

As a guide I sold my HSV GTS-R in May last year for £23,500 privately. It was a 2001/51, 1 owner, 23000 miles and was immaculate. Two Pistonheaders have since bought it. The fact that there were only 15 imported makes it feel a special car. If it is as good as the advert suggests, my guess would be that the car is worth £20K absolute tops, but for that you are getting a wonderful, rare, comfortable, well balanced reliable (in my experience), 400 BHP express. It might be worth speaking to Mark at LSV as they tended to service most of the HSV's when they were first imported. If you have a look see, I hope the car is everything you want it to be!

I echo the above and don't want to re-open the whole hsv/monaro debate. I'd personally like to know where this car has been hiding because I live within 10 miles of the dealership where its advertised and have never seen another Holden in these parts.
If its any help then I can nip over and have a good look at it but due to its rarity doubt whether there would be anything too worrying about it.

I might even go over anyway just to be nosy!!
