my Tamora now for about 3 months. She's in pristine condition, has been looked after like you can't imagine, but no one wants to buy her. Is the saying therefore true? "You buy a TVR, but you GIVE a TVR away"? well - if that's the case I'm gonna keep my Tam, park her up and drive her when I can. I certainly ain't gonna give her away!!! Wow, didn't realise that when you buy a tiv it's for life! Suppose it's good news for me (if not heavy on my pocket).

Where have you been advertising as I don't recall seeing the car in your profile advertised here on PH.

Its the limited number of buyers rather than the price usually. Unless you've been asking silly money.

It's currently at the TVR Centre in Barnet, they are trying to sell it for me because I simply don't have the time to advertise and sell it myself. The advantage there is that they offer their usual service and warrenty etc. plus they are very helpful and I've always been happy with their service in the past. I thought a TVR dealer would be much more able to sell such a car rather than me.

I think you are right, there just aren't that many people out there who want a Tamora - real shame 'cos its such a great car. If it doesn't sell soon, I'll just have to take her back but as I hardly do any driving these days - plus a new family makes it hard for me to escape for long weekend drives, I feel that it would be such a shame to leave my Tam sitting in a garage (actaully my in-laws garage, haven't asked them yet!). On the other hand, I do miss my Tamora!

Or try somewhere like Fernhursts. They always seem to have a good turnover of cars.

Sorry to intrude, but please look on the general gassing (what has happened to tvr prices) to get an idear of what they will offer you.........................

Amazing isn't it? One of the most exhilarating, powerful, good looking AND AFFORDABLE cars (dare I say Super-Cars) in the world today - and no one wants to buy one! I don't think it’s a question of reliability (mine was a great day to day car and never let me down); I just think it’s a question that people BELIEVE it to be an unreliable car - Perception is everything, and TVR have done little to change people's attitudes!

Might be worth you contacting this guy - one of our locals who looking for a Tamora or a Tuscan.

I know hes leaning towards a Tuscan but it might be worth a go.

Thanks a lot! The more I think about it though... the more I am trying to find excuses to keep my Tam (it makes no sense at all, but when has owning a TVR been sensible?) the most annoying thing is that I didn't use her over this summer!!!

Here here! Lets get a few miles on it so you can enjoy it! How about a tunnel run or a run out to the essex TVRCC meet.
