Contis are good tyres - I've only tried 4 different brands on my 993s but the Contis were the best all-round compromise.

If you've got two sets of rims though I'd recommend the Dunlop SSR for summer / autumn use and a winter tyre such as my Pirelli Snowsports for winter / spring use.

I've got Conti's on and it looks like I am going to get a max of 6,500 miles out of them - probably switching back to Pirellis next time round.

I've tried Pirellis, Michelins, Bridgestones, and Contis, and find the Conti SportContact N2 the best compromise of noise, ride, wear, wet and dry grip, and cost.
