Which photo software to use/buy - advice please
Discussion
I am just about to buy some software for my photos - not sure to go with photoshop or paint shop pro (or any others you may suggest)
Which is best, (and which version ) ?
Easy to use?
And, what should I expect to pay ?.
I am jsut getting to grips with Ulead video editing, but would like to make some of my photos look at bit more - intresting!!
Cheers
Nick
Photoshop is expensive but very capable,
Paintshop Pro is not very expensive and quite capable,
Photoshop Elements is cheap and basic AFAIK
The Gimp is free and very capable.

Between Elements and PSP (supposing that you think Photoshop CS2 is too expensive
), I'd personally go for PSP (Verison X is the latest). I thought it was much more capable than Elements when I was using the Version 8. I think I saw it half a price at PC World the other day, which makes it a real bargain too. It also used to come with Animation Shop as well, but I'm not sure if it still does or not. But if you can afford it and justify the cost, nothing can beat Photoshop CS2.
