Off the top of my head... make sure you haven't accidently hit the numlock key as a chunk of the keyboard will stop working and display numbers instead of characters.
Try tapping the key a few times, see if it's jamed by a bit of gunk or if it's travelling normally but doing nothing. If it's not gunked try being a touch more forceful with it, if it works when being tapped hard it probably means the microswitch or membrane underneath is wearing out and time for a service.

1) Check Num Lock isnt on.
2) Take knife, pop keys off , blow hard, press keys back on, bingo.

good luck

Sounds like the keyboard is broken. Might be possible to get a replacement one, google is your friend.

those piano black tosh's are quite new. try your warrenty or accidental damage cover on your home insurance.

if its not in warrenty then this may be worth a go if you feel up to it www.hackaday.com/entry/1234000277073803/

laptop keyboards are buggers mind, especially the two part white plastic hinges, so finding a complete unit and swapping it out may be a better soultion.

edit to say that it may be the only solution, its more than possible that the pcb tracks for the keys fun quite close to each other so changing the membrane(see link) will do sweet FA. If the keys feel normal, then im afraif the new unit is probably the way to go. sorry.

If your lazy and cheap, take the cover off a PC nearby and touch the inside of the metal case as this will have the same anti static effect. Just to it regularly and avoid wearing weird materials... like a realy big fleece, it's not good for your computer.
