Oh dear, am I reading between the lines here and guessing you're going to have more than 530BHP when the beastie hits the road again?
I tried deleting the second entry but the server won't let me....

1.46 bar of boost ?????????
Those guys in the states are really pushing the limits of the engine, although I don't think I'd like to be around when it finally lets go !

Well, we ran a 488RWHP, 530wheellbs torque and a STOCK gear box w/50 hrs of race time before the engine failed- Porsche Motorsports recomends a refresh every 30 hrs.

That's a truly awful torque curve.
Does he state which turbo's? I notice he says larger. You don't need bigger turbo's....just different ones.

GT28RS Turbos- as for the torque curve, i explained in the USA forum that the torque and power curves drop off due to the Hoosier race tires getting massive wheel spin after the peak- we had tire rubber all over the dyno. When you have wheel spin on the dyno the result is a curve like you have seen. The power and torque is phenominal- what it really needs is about 30mm more rubber and wider fender flares. It IS very predictable though- once you are used to driving the car at that level, it starts to seem mundane again. At 7300 rpm in 5th the car still wants to pull hard.

Now that will destroy his gearbox

Later in the thread - "a custom modified racing gear box with external Setrab cooler and Weldon adjustable tranny pump".

Which sounds very like Mike's uprated gearbox.

Paul, not Mikes box- will let you know how it holds up but seems great so far-Seth
