I am hoping to become a TVR owner very soon. The one thing that is worrying me, and stopping me from purchasing one is the fact that I'm 5' 5", and overweight!! Can anybody advise me on wether I'm being a touch paranoid.... or if I really will fit into the car

There's only one thing to do - try it! I'm 6 ft 7 and a structurally sound 22 stone - and I get in a Chimaera without a problem.

Height - shouldn't be a problem (but you're well suited to the passenger seat! )

Overweight? You'll be needing the 500, Sir!

Sorry, don't know how to answer without it sounding non-PC ! But I think you'll find that there's a very reasonable amount of room, although having sat in S, Griff, Chimaera, Tuscan and Tamora, I found the Tamora to be a little claustraphobic - not sure that I can explain why, just that the cabin "seemed" a little smaller.

"6'3" and overweight"

I'm 5'11 and definatly front row scrum material!!! I find the driving space holds me in nice and secure!!

Seriously though, no real probs at all. If you are truely worried no-one is going to mind if you try one out for size. I'm sure your nearest dealer can help.

Can't put this tactfully, but here goes anyway!

Depends if it's a beer gut or your wide all over! In my Chimaera I could imagine that between the centre console and the door could get a little squashed. As the centre console is level with the middle of my ribs. Theres an adjustable steering wheel and the seat goes quite a way back, so if it's a forward sticking belly (beer gut!) shouldn't be a problem.

Height isn't a problem, had a mate thats 6'5" sit comfortabley in the car.

Hope this helps mate, but as said earlier, just get yourself to a dealer and try one out (even if your thinking of buying privately), you'll find they're very helpful.

Good luck and happy car hunting

I wouldn't have thought you would have a problem. S Girl is probably about the same height as you and drives a Griff 500. I have 'woman shaped' hips and theres plenty of room!

Go get it girl! Where are you based? Where are you going to look? I had a bit of trouble buying mine - some dealers couldn't cope with the thought that a woman might be buying one.

I'm based in Nottingham... I'm hoping to get a second hand Chimaera. I'd love a Cerbera, but really can't stretch to that amount..

getting in is no problem. I am 6'3" and strongly built but alas I have a small garage so the door only half opens and I have to do a sort of Houdini act to squirm out. I suppose the answer is to get out before I drive the car in

And if you decide you like/fit in one it would be worth contacting Jamer to see if he knows of any cars which would suit you
