Great Western Alfa Day, 10th September 2006

This year the South West's premier summer event will be held beside the museum of the Great Western Railway in Swindon. The Great Western Alfa Day will have something for everyone. This great venue, flanked by the Great Western Railway Museum and the Designer Outlet Shopping Centre, has many advantages which will be appreciated by all visiting Alfisti: There will be reserved Register and Section parking (on application), on the spacious, gravelled, exclusively Alfa Romeo, display areas. The AROC club shop will also be open for business.
There will be plentiful refuge from inclement or excessively hot weather. The Designer Shopping centre has plentiful catering outlets, children's play facilities and a farmer's market. The superb railway museum will be a great attraction as there can be surely no better time to visit than in this, the 200th anniversary of I. K. Brunel's birth..

The event will run from 10 am. until 5 pm. Entrance cost will be £2 per car to cover expenses. Access is by easily followed routes: From M4 J16 follow the brown 'Outlet Village' signs on the Great Western Way and Kemble Drive. Go straight ahead at the first 6 roundabouts, (the last two being the double Bruce Bridges junction) and at the seventh roundabout turn right and immediately left following the brown 'NMRC' direction sign. Take the left hand road around the grass oval and bear right at the end. The GWAD display zone will then be directly ahead of you. Non-Alfas should continue right, to the next car park on the left, (owned by the National Trust, who have kindly given us permission for it's use). For those with Sat Nav, please use post code SN2 2GZ. Any visitor with a disabled blue badge or disability-related needs is requested to advise us before arrival. By all means bring a picnic but please, no BBQs or naked flames (for safety reasons). All Alfa Romeo owners and enthusiasts are welcome.

See You There!
