Just removed all the skin from both hands curing the dreadful Fiat-like noise from my 328GTS. The problem seemed to be a huge heavy metal box between the engine and tail pipes stuffed with sound insulating lead to judge by the weight. Now removed and the gap filled by a shiny second hand Tubi from a kind gent at Foskers, the car appears to make a more acceptable noise, to me if not my neighbours. Looking forward to upsetting/pleasuring other peoples neighbours now, depending on their point of view.
