Those of us who have owned Diablo's and indeed now Murcie's are aware that the bespoke Koni shockers are prone to problems - up until now we've been looking at around £1300 per unit (and there are SIX of them) when they went awry - now it seems there are ways to rebuild them - I also hear that Mike Pullen is able to rebuild them but I haven't had this confirmed. Here's the article - I don't know if anyone has solved the other main cause of failure - the electronic control modules???

Mike mentioned about having the shocks rebuilt last time my CT was at Carrera Sports, but I have no idea about price.

there's a place fairly close to Silverstone that specialise in Koni's. A friend recently had his rebuilt for his LP400 periscope and I don't think it was dear. I'll ask him the question.

Nice one. I've had 3 or 4 modules go but the shockers themselves have been ok. I do use the lift system frequently cos I'm told it helps lubricate the seals etc.

On the last day of the warranty (Thursday) I could hear a slight tinkling sound from the engine. It was booked in at Lambo Manchester for a checkover anyway so asked Simon the senior tech guy to investigate. Turns out its the water pump. New one required and its a 10hr job to replace!! With the part as well almost £2K! Talk about sailing close to the wind

Simon,

Do you know (because it was no doubt replaced under waranty!) - did they end up replacing the whole shocks - OR is there a way of just replacing the modules?? Just because I think I've got one dodgy module and I need to find out if it's a new shock job or not!
