Water in the Footwell

I did some driving in heavy rain last week, and just noticed that my Driver side footwell is wet, all the carpets are out now drying, but I can't for the life of me see where the water can be getting in.
It seems to be coming down from the top of the footwell. There was a bit of a hole where the throttle cable enters in the engine compartment, and I've sealed that up now. Any other obvious places?

Incidentally I've been using Evostick External Roof and Gutter sealant (Black) for sealing the Headlight 'change bulb' holes and things like that, and it is excellent stuff.

I had a similar problem, dealer said it was the door seals and refitted the door, since when I've had no problems.

This topic often comes up after a period of rain....have done a topic search for you here and this is about the best previous thread that'll just about cover any points where water could get in....had to do the same myself when I first got mine!

Thanks Satman - for some reason the search function isn't working for me. I've just spent the last couple of hours doing some enjoyable but dirty 'fettling', can't find the brake master cylinder to seal check, - is that lurking deep up in the the footwell? - but I sealed around the throttle cable, and did done some chassis cleaning and waxoyling.

I think some of the essential ingredients for Cerb ownership are a Garage, a good washing machine, big tub of swarfega and lot of patience !!

Have a look at the sealant around where you fill the brake fluid. It took me ages to trace my leak to there. The sealant looked ok but it wasnt. Took all the old stuff out and replaced it. From then until I sold it, nice and dry.

i have the same problem rarely have mine out in the heavy rain but i have had to leave the car outside for a few days and the passenger footwell is soaking and also seems like water may be getting into heater outlet in passenger side is this possible i say this because today wife opened heater flap and water came out but not rad water car never uses a drop any ideas
