Bigger brakes

Hi, I have done the fronts on my 92 precat - which were 240mm and are now 280mm. Sapphire Cosworth 4wd calipers and 2wd disks. Some mucking about but all there for £260 and a lot better. Now the rear, does anyone know how to upgrade the rear to the later 500 standard? Does it need the later calipers? Is the suspension upright the same?
