I know it's not quite "suspension & brakes", but we don't seem to have a place to discuss tyres!
What are these road legal track tyres like in the wet? Anybody have any experience or insights?

In the damp they are OK, just be careful when they are cold.

In significant rain fall/standing water they can be pretty dangerous if trying hard. Just pottering along to/from a track day they are fine though.

Better or worse than Proxes R888, do you think?

i use the softest compound versions on my sprint/hillclimb car. The tread depth isnt as deep as a road tyre even when new, but the soft tyre is made from the same rubber as Kumhos race wets (F3 etc) so the compound is good. Compared to the other 1B tyres ive used, Yoko 32R softs and super softs, and Avon ACB10s, i think they are way better than the ACB10s, no great surprise as its not a wet tyre at all, and better than the Yokos in anything other than torrential rain due to the yokos gretaer tread depth. Generally if its that wet, my car is pointless anyway, so not an issue. For sprints they are awesome, they are up to temp by the first corner but a couple of laps of a circuit like castle combe in the dry and they are starting to overheat. Wear rate is high on the soft compounds, but perfect for small light sprint cars. I will definitely buy more.

I can't be certain yet as I haven't tried them on the car.

However a number of people in my race series have tried R888's in the wet and they have done pretty well, certainly no worse than on the people on the T1-R's. There was no standing water though.
