Considering a Cerbera?

Hello all.
I currently have a Sierra RS500 which I like a lot, BUT I love the way a Cerbera looks, the performance etc...so am considering selling the RS500 to purchase a Cerbera...
Now a few questions about Cerbs:
1. I am confident that the RS500 will not lose any money during my ownership (in fact should go up), but what about a Cerb?
2. I would be looking to spend no more than 15K on a Cerb, what are they like for that money?
3. I do most of the work on the RS500 myself (oil change every 2000 miles etc....), can you do this to a Cerb yourself easily enough?
4. What sort of price would you be looking at for a clutch change as an example of costs?
5. I also have another toy car in the garage, if I was to sell that too, I could possibly stretch to a Noble M12........is it wirth the extra expense?

1. you will loose some monies
2. good
3. yup (some people say that DIY servicing will reduce its resale value) Tappets need adjusting every oter service.
4. Depends, I think its approx £200 like for like but if you have to upgrade an old style for a new style then you need a new bellhousing aswell, ive heard people paying upto 1k for this.
5. No idea what the nobel is like but if you park them next to each other the Cerb is doing 100MPH sitting still!!!
I've owned 3 cerberas - my latest being the red rose: each one after seeling (first 2) i've come back. they're gorgeous!
1. Depends amount spent, but for a 15K cerb you won't loose, its only on upkeep and parts that keep youcredit card in business
2. Pretty good, a lot can be done for this money. look for major bills, more work done i find the better the car
3. Yeah easily enough, very simple car, although i would get engine work done by professional indie (Austec)

5. hmmm if you like mondeos..ha ha -sorry they are amazing cars, but you cannot replace the AJP8 engine noise the pops bangs on over run.

Before I got my Cerb I test drove a Noble M12 GTO-3. It was low and fast. Nice accurate steering, crazy turbo whooshes etc, felt well put together. I quite liked it.
But...
Noble was about 10k extra.
Cerb has a nice looks.
Cerb has amazing interior.
Cerb has a boot & 'sort-of' seats in the back (I've had 4 up - it can be done!)
That engine!!!! Pops & bangs on the AJP are very racecar.
Power delivery - AJP power delivery feels more aggressive than the building sensation you get from turbos.
Cerb seemed crazier.
There seemed to be more garages for TVR nearer to me than Noble too - I think their network is quite small.
Basically, the Noble was pretty nice & I'd quite like one but when I drove a Cerbera I knew I HAD to have one.
Go for a drive in some and see what you think.

Cor bl00dy blimey, clutch change for £200? Either you've never owned a Cerbera or you know something the rest of us lot don't! The AP clutch currently stands at just under £1k in parts alone, so as Dean says, a bill of around £1500 is pretty much par for the course...
Good to see you're still hunting Lee. Curious about the Noble comparison - I thought they were still upwards of 30k second hand at the moment?
