Evening chaps,
One of my first posts since joining The Darkside - Picked up the BoxsterS last week (I know, its not a 996 but I'm working on it). The car is sublime - only problem is the Wind deflector seems to fly off if I drop the windows (with the roof down obviously) and drive at slightly naughty speeds. Is the to be expected, should I just remove the deflector? Grateful for any tips.
Jamie
PS tried search function but no result

Shouldn't happen - either the clips are broken or the screen wasn't put in properly - had mine up to 135 (on a private road obviously) without problems - windstop in place, windows up

Cant think you should have to remove the deflector surely ??? Must be a faulty attachement or something confused

Got my old 2.7 up to 145 (again on a private road) with no problems. At one point I thought the hair on my head had more of a chance of getting sucked from its roots before the deflector would come off.

You haven't said if its a 986 or a 987, if it the latter then there is a recall on the deflector to do with the clips that hold it in position. Hope this helps
