Interesting... will certainly add a challenge to the track.... and reduce some of the danger.... the corner over the crest of the hill is a real cliffhanger, no room for error.

Surely if they put that chicane in there, they'll have to push the barriers and stands back to make sufficient runoff?

Will slow people down for sure, but wont stop people pushing their limits. Will still get ugly with spins and other carnage to entertain the crowds no doubt I rekon it will be a tighter version of castrol corner with a bigger fence, so if you hit it - bad luck! But would be nice if they did push the fences out and put a kitty litter trap in or something.

That sux0urz. They've also recently removed the 'esses' from in front of the old pit lane at Taupo too, from the hairpin to the last corner on the old track is pretty much a straight line now from what i've heard. They're taking all the fun out of the tracks.

The reason it will be worse at Puke though is because we might not have much/any more sub 60 second lap times. It has always been a dream of mine to lap the circuit in under a minute, but even though my dream was always probably going to be just that (my 212 hp or so Skyline seems very fast to me, so wouldn't be used to anything quicker!) this will make the chance of it ever coming true even less of a reality. :|
