I have an '01 4 ltr Tuscan which was supplied new with 18" Alloys. The question I have is whether my car would have been shipped with standard suspension setting as per 16" wheels or if the factory would have set it up for 18". (Or if there is a difference).
I know b****r all about suspension geometries etc but would like to know if i can improve the vicious tram-line-ing (I think thats what it's called) that occurs even on reasonable roads? So...
1) Is there a difference
2) Can it be easily identified just by "looking"
3) Can the set up be adjusted rather than replaced at huge expense (which I'd rather avoid just now as it's insurance renewal time again)
Any Info much appreciated, including somewhere to go (relatively nearby ~50 miles) to have it 'looked' at. (Based in Chepstow / Forest of Dean Area)

I'll have a go at answering this. Assuming you have a standard car versus a RR or S, if your car was built around May onwards it may have the newer pick up points for the 18" wheels. I think the only way to be sure is to contact the factory. These cannot be changed.

Tramlining on badly rutted roads is helped by running on 40 profile tyres rather than 35s. If you think it is bad, you could also check the geometry at a reputable tyre place, as it has been known for cars to be way out spec.
