Ringing around is inevitably the best bet, unless you are after something super sticky and special.

Derby Tyres are a cut above the rest Paul. I always go there - friendly, reliable and professional.

from black circles I'll have to find somewhere that'll fit them, and garages only seem to want to fit their own tyres.

really?

I seem to find that garages I used to use in nottingham had no such problems...are there really such discrepancies 11 miles down the grotty end of the brian clough way? hehe

mind you I was using back street type garages

Seconded.

Just had a set of Pirelli Pzero's on the Porker at Wrights Tyres in Denby. Family run business, took extra care and cheaper then blackcircles.co.uk

Give em a bash

Bit of a thread resurrection, but just had a set of four Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric put on the Bentley today by Derby Tyres. I checked the prices on the internet from Black Circles, Camskill and My Tyres, then asked them to match the best internet price, which they did.

I also cannot abide tyre fitting muppets, had more than my fair share of grief from them over the years. So I made sure that they were aware of the correct jacking points, to note that the threads were handed differently on each side of the car, to use hidden stick on weights on the inside of the rims etc.

First class job done at a keen price.

Although I will be taking them off again at the weekend and thoroughly inspecting them all over, waxing the rims inside and out, checking the pressures and re-torquing the nuts.

You ought to give www.dustcap.co.uk a call - They come to you! Had new boots for three cars fitted by them now - top class and better price than blackcircles!

I've got through more than 3 sets of tyres since I started this thread, lol.

I get tyres for the Elise from Peter Smiths now as it's the only local place that does Advan LTS's...
