Hi guys - just a quick query.

I have taken my Sagaris up to Hexham HC to sell through them - so I will no longer be using and driving the car.

However my insurance is due this month and therein lies the question - do I need to renew the insurance and inform them of the situation (car being located elsewhere, etc) or can I just cancel the insurance. Not sure of the legal situation regarding Hexham using the car for test drives and the like - will it be covered under their own insurance?

Will be asking HHC about this but just wondered if anyone here knew in the meantime?

I think that most garages have a 'trader's' policy which allows their employees to drive any car in the garages possesion; even if they don't technically own it. (Correct me if I'm wrong here).
I wouldn't worry but it does ease ones mind to clarify things. Are you likely to be 'doing' TVR again at all?

Thought there must be something like that - seems daft having to pay insurance on a car that you don't drive and is not in your possession - i'm sure Tony at HHC will shed some light.

As for 'doing' TVR in the future - most definately, after 5 years, it's now in the blood .

Had an epiphany a few months back (around my 30th birthday rolleyes) and decided that that was it, time to get serious. Got several business ideas which I am pursuing at the moment with the aim of getting on the road to financial freedom within 5 years. By then there will be definately be a TVR in one of the garages.... next to the Ultima GTR and the Bugatti

For complete peace of mind I would check with your existing insurance company, it may be worth keeping a policy running for any no claims? just a thought.....

Especially as most "traders policies" are third party only & don't cover "theft", "damage to own vehicle when own fault" etc.

The fact that they offer a "sell your vehicle" service, leads me to think they've got a better than standard policy, but I would definitely check.

Saw you on saturday at hhc when you were dropping your car off (i was there picking mine up).
Real shame you're having to sell as it's a cracking car and an impressive colour! Someones going to get a nice car!!
