I've seen a black one and two red ones one going like a nutter down by Tesco and one red bearing the reg H**UTE.

I guess they are not Pistonheads.

No one seems to wave anymore.

Apparently they're giving them away with every 5 boxes of Coco Pops. I think they've renamed the 348 the Ferrari Clit !!........ you work it out !

HI, JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I HAD THE PLEASURE OF OWNING A FERRARI 348 WHICH HAD BEEN PROPERLY SORTED BY A FERRARI MAIN DEALER.IT WAS THE BIGGEST PILE OF POOH EVER.EVERY DAY I HAD A PROBLEM WITH IT.WATER COMMING IN, SHITTY ELECTRICS.BUT I THINK IT WAS THE WAY IT WANTED TO KILL YOU AS IT WAS GOING AROUND ANY TIGHT BEND EITHER IN THE DRY OR THE WET.MAYBE I WAS UNLUCKY?.THERE ARE LOTS MORE FERRARIS AND MASERATIS AROUND SINCE DICK LOVETT.JUST TO LET YOU KNOW I HAD MY MASERATI SHAMAL SERVICED BY THEM A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO,I PAID MY BILL ,THEN HAD THE CAR DELIVERD TO ME.I DROVE THE CAR WHEN I REALISED NONE OF THE ELECTRICS WERE WORKING.I RANG THE GARAGE,THEY TOLD ME TO BRING THE CAR DOWN.I NOTICED ON MY BILL I WAS CHARGED FOR MENDING MY FUSE BOX WHICH I ASSUMED THEY HAD DONE IT.THEY THEN SAID IT WOULD BE 4 WEEKS TO GET ANOTHER ONE.SO I DECIDED TO GET AUTOSHIELD MASERATI IN MANCHESTER TO PICK IT UP .
WHEN THEY INSPECTED IT THEY FOUND TO THEIR HORROR A COMPLETE BODGE OF A JOB ON THE FUSE BOX WHICH HAD BURNT ITS SELF OUT.NOT ONLY THAT WHEN THEY CHECKED IT OVER THEY NOTICED I HAD ONLY A FEW MILES LEFT IN MY BRAKES!STRANGE AS I HAD BEEN CHARGED FOR A COMPLETE BRAKE SERVICE!!.SO THEY RANG DICK LOVETT WHO ADMITED NOT DOING THE BRAKES AND ALSO BODGING THE FUSE BOX.TO PUT IT RIGHT COST 1000 POUNDS.THEY SAID SORRY AND CAME UP WITH THE EXUSE THAT MY CAR WAS SO RARE AND EXOTIC, THEY HAD GUESED WHAT TO DO ,THEY HAD NO MANUALS ETC.DICK LOVETT INVITED ME BACK TO THR SHOWROOM WHERE THERE MANAGER CAME TO SAY SORRY AND GAVE HALF MY MONEY BACK.WHILE I WAS THERE HE PROMPTED ME TO HAVE A TEST DRIVE IN THE NEW FERRARI F430,AS I HAD JUST SOLD MY FERRARI AND SAID I CAULD BE INTERESTED IN ANOTHER .SO THE SALESMAN DROVE TO THE WELSH ASSEMBLY BUILDING,THEN I GOT ON AND STARTED THE CAR. I PRESSED THE IGNITION AND NOTHING....!! THE SALES GUY SAID I MAYBE YOU ARE NOT USE TO THE CAR.THEN I SAID TO HIM AFTER 3 ATTEMPTS ,"THERE IS FUEL IN THIS CAR ISNT THERE" AT THIS POINT WE WERE BLOCKING ALL TRAFFIC.HE SAID OF COURSE THERE IS, LET ME HAVE A GO .THEN ALL I CAULD SEE WAS HIS FACE GO VERY RED."THERE IS NO PETROL INIT"SO I SAID NO WORRIES RING THEM ON YOUR MOBILE AS I HAD LEFT MINE IN MY CAR."SORRY SIR WE ARE NOT ALLOWED TO CARRY MOBILES ON TEST DRIVES"BASICALLY NO F....R KNEW WHERE WE WERE.SO AFTER MANY PEOPLE TAKING THE PISS OUT OF US WE MANAGED TO BORROW SOMEONES PHONE.1 HOUR LATER THEY TURNED UP WITH SOME PETROL GOT BACK TO THE SHOWROOM WHERE THE POOR MANAGER DIDNT KNOW WHAT TO SAY OTHER THAN I DONT THINK YOU WILL BE COMMING BACK.DAMN RIGHT MATE!

So we can deduce that:

1. You didn't like your 348
2. You don't like Dick Lovett
3. You don't know where the "caps lock" button is on your keyboard.

haha thats great.

also, saying that the 348 was a crap car is very shortsighted Yes, the early ones werent all great but the later GTB/GTS & spider models were great cars.

Sorry about caps lock, and my rant .later 348's were much better.i just had a bad one which is a shame.i dont think Dick lovett are crap i just think maybe they should have made sure all the things i paid for were done.the fuse box was in a very dangerous state. It was a long time ago now and i expect things are much better now.It meant i had to service the car twice to make sure everything was done which cost me double the amount of money even with the money i got back! But the crux of the matter is that sometimes main dealers may not be able to service slightly older cars .I would say Autoshield Maserati and Bill Mcgrath Maserati are the best. For newer maseratis and ferraris there is nothing wrong with Dick Lovett.

Dick Lovett are cr@p.

My father had a few things done on his 456 there which were all done badly. He ordered new tyres from them and they managed to fit them the wrong way round and didnt balance the wheels.

The car now gets collected and taken to Bob Houghtons in the Cotswolds.

Bob Houghton are a brilliant garage, totally agree .They know ferraris and maseratis
both old and new.Thats the difference between main dealers who are just there to sell and real specialists who care for cars and the customer when things go wrong.Sorry to hear about Dick Lovett and the 456,i thought i was the only one who got let down!.Is the 456 a great car ,i was very tempted to buy one not long ago. Both the 550 and the 456 are very tempting not too sure which to go for in the next few months.I am still keeping my Maserati Shamal, its great fun and a complete thug!
