Ted,

I drove past one the other day, can't remember the name though....useful aren't I !

It was on the A40 between Wycombe and Beaconsfield (by the turn off to Flackwell Heath - on mini roundabout). The sign said "TVR specialists" and it was an MOT centre too.

Next time I pass it I'll drop you a note. Haven't experienced the service there though mind you !

Ted,

Have you tried the TVR specialist in Loudwater, mentioned by Bandit above?

Never had cause to use them yet, but they seem to be highly recommended!

Excellent, thanks. Funnily enough I noticed it for the first time last week. I'll drop in there next week.

I think my sister has seen you around, she prefers your colour to mine.
Will keep my eyes open for you.

The garage in Stoke Row (near Nettlebed) - very 'old fashioned ' never have failed the Griffith yet - not even questioned the ,erm, questionable exhaust volume.

I'm from Maidenhead way myself.. the girlfriend lives over the other side of Wycombe though.

Unfortunatly I've been without my Cerbera since Jan4th (due to some complete muppet driving into me) and theres no sign of it coming back anytime soon

Maybe It'll come back in time for the next session

Ref. the garage in Loudwater - I've called in there before and he diagnosed a little problem I've been having (with the car!). He seems to know his stuff. Got a business card here ... Perry Mott, The V8 Centre. 0800 9706759.

I didn't know he did MOTs himself - maybe it's the Saab specialist's equipment next door that he uses.

So Ted, the windscreen was for the MOT then eh? Mine too .. except that Thames Valley Racetech are servicing/MOTing mine tomorrow and the windscreen is being fitted Friday - doh! (Yes, T-V-R now do MOTs.)

Sounds like it's worth popping in to see him for a chat as he's only down the road.

I don't think the TVR specialist does MOT's. I believe it's only Loudwater Garage that do them. Personally speaking I wouldn't go there as I have a few friends who have had problems with them. All IMHO off course. I don't think the TVR specialist and Loudwater Garage are anything to do with each, only on the same site. On another note see you all at Pie And Wye, something I can't miss as it's only 3/4 mile from my house.

Mine just passed with flying colours at Thames Valley Racetech - they know TVRs too. Go there if you're not sure - it's a nice drive out past Henley after all.

Emissions Q - Can 3ppm HC and 0.00 CO be correct? (0.00n I assume).

Still getting my new windscreen tomorrow, even though it didn't cause the car to fail.

Dropped into www.thev8centre.com on Saturday morning. Perry is the main man there who seemed a nice chap. They're moving to bigger premises in Wycombe soon which will include an MOT bay.

They had a good collection of new and old TVRs in there as well as all sorts of other stuff including E Types, American dragster/muscle car things etc.

Looks like it could be very handy having him on my doorstep. They're launching a new website soon. I'll see if I can do a short piece on them in the near future.
