'Eyeball' air vents are from ?

Hi all, I'm needing to acquire a pair of the fresh air 'eyeball' air vents, and the dash heating vents for my S3c. Does anyone know if they are common to another make of vehicle ? or where you could get them from.

I'm looking at making a new switch panel that will mean the removal of the 'eyeball' air vents. If I need fresh air I can open the windows!!

I want to make a decision ASAP as to wether I'm going to go ahead and do this, so if I do I'll have no use for the eyeballs.

yea the purpose of these vents does seem somewhat redundant with an open top and windows ! Just finishing off a bit of a rebuild so would be nice to have the original bits as the vents were missing when I got the car, I might have a work around though. But certainly do bear me in mind if you change your switch panel...

I have also considered removing the 'eyeballs' just to get rid of those unsightly flexible tubes going through the wishbones. The only downside I can think of is during a thunder-storm in hot weather you close the windows and the vents are the only way of staying resonabley comfortable
