Transfering files from an iPAQ to a QTek

Does anyone know if this is possible?
Are the files readable once transferred?

I have copied the files from the iPAQ (they are .pwi files) to a laptop via infrared, but when opened in notepad, or suchlike, they come out in hieroglyphics, so wonder if the file compatibility is the same?!

Any help appreciated.
