Website building

[r5gttgaz]

Hi there, just after some advice. I am learning how to build basic sites and have learnt XHTML and CSS to begin with but building my sites on Wordpad is starting to get annoying and time consuming.

Would anyone recommend a better piece of software? Dreamweaver 8 maybe?

Cheers R5

To be honest, I've always used UltraEdit, Textpad etc, ie basically jazzed up text editors.

Dreamweaver is good. But if your looking for cheap WYSIWIG then check out Nvu, it's basically what happened to the old Netscape Composer after many years of teaking and refinment. It's free so if you don't get on with it you've lost nothing other than a few seconds of waiting for the uninstall routine to work.

Nvu is nice, I've been using it for a while.
