After your fantastic Le Mans pic I have to help!

Check page 2 of this thread out......

Dorchester Hotel should provide a happy hunting ground.

Basically sit on a bench on Park Lane, Sloane Street or Belgrave Square for an hour or so and you will see plenty of Exotica driving past!!!

As Irish says, the Dorchester, which is on Park Lane is a good start too, last time i was there i saw the infamouse Veyron parked up outside!!

I keep thinking of doing a supercar spotters hour on Park Lane but never get off my arse to do it!!

I posted this up on another forum when someone else asked the same question:

-Park Lane - nice hotels, top end dealerships, plenty of cars driving past
-Mayfair (W1) - plenty of embassies, dealerships, exotics on the road
-Knightsbridge
-Kensington
-Sloane Street - most expensive shops in London, plenty of exotica
-Wandsworth - Joe Macari and other top dealerships, always something nice
-Piccadilly Circus
-Holland Park
-Maida Vale (Warwick Ave tube station) - nice houses around this area

Just to give an idea of what is around I have added a list of roughly what I saw during an overnight stay in London a few weeks back. There are plenty of Middle Eastern owned exotics in town at the moment including Veyrons, Lambos, Ferraris and pretty much any new model supercar you would care to describe.

-Black Gallardo (LJ04***) and TDF 360 Spider (**02FUN) in Parliament Square

-Grey 575M (GO**BLO) and Red 355 on a T reg at Buckingham Palace

-In and around Sloane Street/Knightsbridge on Saturday night; Black 612, Red 355 Spider, another Black 612 on German plates, Red 360 Spider (OOO*), 04 plate Red 575M, 05 plate Red 430 Spider. Also a Black Porsche 997 Turbo on Bahrain plates and a white DB9.

-Black 430 Spider and Red 355 at Piccadilly Circus.

-Orange Diablo VT at East India Docks, Docklands.

-Sloane Street: Red 430 (UK**RED), Red 360 Spider (LJ04***), Black 360 and a stunningly loud Green Aston Martin Vanquish!

-Red 430 Spider, Mayfair

-Black Murcielago

That is just 24 hours worth of wandering around and we only spent perhaps 6 hours outside

There are plenty of interesting dealerships with real top end exotics hidden away around London - just PM me for more info.

I will be in London again in October with camera at the ready and hopefully I can add a few pictures to this thread.

Cheers
Ben

What everyone else has said, but additionally, come out of South Kensington Tube (or walk there from Sloane Square / Kings Road) and there's a Lambo dealership right by the station, then walk down the old brompton road and there's a Maserati and Ferrari dealership about half a mile down.

You will also no doubt see more than one Bentley GT walking between those two. I'm told they grow on trees around there.

Get a table outside the Oriel restaurant/bar in Sloane Square on a sunday afternoon. Just a few yards from sloane Square Station.

If it's a nice day, you'll see lots of nice cars driving past.

thanks for website.

in fact, I start from folkestone to go to park me directly in the carpark which is behind the dorchester. And I do not move the car of the day. I arrive to England at 6h30. To make folkestone-Dorchester in one hour, Ca short makes. I will not take the risk. It is stupid

I agree with everyone else and have to say that at the back of Harrods you will get lots of eye candy. Last weekend there were so many lovely cars parked outside the Cafe/bar (think it was Cafe Rouge or similar) that I had to go round twice...couldn't park as all the parking bays were taken up with the said cars!

Definitely agree with Belgrave Square as I work in Halkin street! A quick walk to the Star Tavern is all that is needed to see more automotive porn than you can shake a stick at.

Also don't forget the Edgeware Road - I *think* thursday night is the start of the Islamic weekend (can anyone correct that?) So you get loads of nice cars up and down outside all the Middle Easterns restaurants! Last tiem I was there I saw a pimp, gunmetal grey Murci with blacked out windows! phatt

As for Harrods or ANYWHERE around there or like it (Knightsbridge, Kensington, Sloane Sq etc etc)... FOR THE LOVE OF GOD NO!!!!

Don't ever, EVER park your car there if you are going to leave it unattended.

We are talking about people with more money than sense and genuinely think bumpers are a parking aid.

Friends were there last weekend and having just yelled to stop some woman reversing into the front of a 430 spider, they walked off to hear the massive crunch 20 seconds after as she simply did it later!

Bump, bump, bump, bump IN...... Bump, bump, bump, bump OUT!

Too much money - they think nothing of things like that and they certainly don't care less what they're doing it to!

thanks all.

I thus think of parking the car in the carpark behind the street which is behind the dorchester.
To start to make Mayfar, belgravia and knightsbridge.

St jame' S park perhaps? for hotels ?

Free Parking tips.

After 7pm (i think) and all day Sunday(i know) you can park on SINGLE yellow lines for free.

Be carefull parking in a "proper" parking bay, as this could be residents parking and sometimes is 24h.

Lots of single yellow around teh back of the Dorchester!!
