Blose speaker amp...
Discussion
Has anybody has one of these spare, it's for a '91 (but I think all the 84-96 amps should be the same)?
Otherwise, I'm looking to get a pair off ebay:

(although I only need 1 now, I'm sure a spare will come in handy...).
*IF* there's no spares, if anybody wants me to add to that order ($74 seems a good price), let me know - there's 4 available.

These guys can help with your shipping, they have a New York office for internal US then they ship to the UK.www.moving-parts.com/theconcept.htm

Mike - I need to do one of mine, but thus far have been too lazy to remove it - how many capacitors are on the board?
It's been awhile, but I believe there are 6. They are kinda small and it's tough to find replacements with the volt/mfd ratings (that are physically small enough).
When these capicators start to go bad, they cause the amplifier to start high-frequency oscillations. At this point they either don't put out any sound - or it's distorted sound.
This "high freq oscillatibg" generates a lot of heat and will eventually destroy the circuit board material. I imagine I repaired about 10 of them in the past couple years. And 2 of the 10 ... the circuit board was too "cooked" to attempt any repair.
Here is a drawing of a bench test setup I fashioned for the repairs:
