Apologies if this is a repost, but does anyone know what is up with this motor?
Looks very much too good to be true!

Even if it is major engine woes, what would you be looking at for a new engine/gearbox?
£4-5k?

There are still bargains out there, I paid £5300 for a very clean 95 400 that just needed a Lambda sensor to get it through the MOT. Some people just don't want to start pouring money in. If you can do the jobs yourself then it is a different proposition!

At that price would have thought some major chassis work too(?), but if that wasn't the case and just engine that OMG that was a bargain !!

There is when the cheapest here is going for 17k ukp and you need TVR specific parts, like body's and chassis,etc..

My point was, that if you pay little now, you'll only spend it later...

Exaclty, it will be interesting to see if the new owner is on here and maybe we will find out. In my opinion if the dealer was selling it for that rediculous money (when majority of their stock is 3 times that!) they must be desperate to get rid of it......cant think why ?

A top end rebuild can be had for around £1500... so in my book, something still doesn't add up here...
