Hi all,
Have just passed the MOT, yippee! But...
They nearly didn't because there was a high Lambda reading on the offside exhaust. Nearside exhaust passed fine. I suggested that it might be a faulty Lambda sensor in the nearside exhaust manifold but the garage guys seemed to think that it couldn't be that as the CO and HC readings were fine and muttered something about valves.

Any ideas chaps. Should I go ahead and replace the Lambda sensor, I've heard they have a habit of failing. She's a 450 1997, done 40k miles.

Thanks.

Whilst they were carrying out the MOT,those guys might have noticed that your left hand pipe comes from the same place as the right hand pipe,ie the one single center pipe!rolleyes
Personally, from what you've said about there opinions,i think i'd be taking the car elsewhere for a diagnosis!
