DVD Shrink 3.2

I have reloaded DVD Shrink 3.2 onto my desktop after cleaning the hard drive and starting again, but once I have "analysed" a film and go to backup, the section entitled "select backup target" only gives me the options to select "ISO Image file" or "hard disk folder". When I had it on there before I could select my DVD burner, but for some reason it won't see it. Any ideas?

Have you installed Nero or A.N.Other burning software. Mine did this when i'd forgotten to install Nero again.

Yep, if I remember the text it says "Requires Nero Burning Rom engine components" or something very similar.

Yes I have got Nero installed (can't remember if I did this before or after). I have even got a friend of mind to e-mail his version which was the same and working properly, but it was no different once installed.

By the sounds of it Nero can't find your CD/DVD Writer.

Have you tried burning something in Nero directly - do you get the same or similar message? I've had this occasionally with an old writer and unsurprisingly a reboot sorted it all out.

I have since copied an unprotected DVD using nero without a problem.
