NIMAG's demonstrator is in too, they tried to get it registered for last weekend's event at Paleis Het Loo... don't know whether they succeeded.

Indeed Nimag's demonstrator is in (and was present at 't Loo) plus another customer Sagaris as well.
Let's call it a good start.

Cheers,
Peter.

Hey Peter,

I think I've seen you and your Chimaera (Chianti Starmist?) a couple of times at the A4 Amsterdam - Den Haag, is that possible? I'm commuting in a black Mini One.

If everything goes to plan, there'll be another Chianti Starmist Chim landing on these shores in a few months' time! bounce

He Erik,

Yes that's me. Sometimes I take the Chimaera to work in Amstelveen from my hometown Delft. Is that you who pulled next to me a while ago and waved a PistonHeads sticker? If I remember correctly it was a Mini at least (don't remember exactly because I was pleasantly surprised by someone trying hard to get next to me and waving a PH sticker!).

Let me know if you need any info on Chimaera's (or S-series for that matter which I owned before).

See you,
Peter.

wavey That was me, indeed! yes

I'll be buying Matt Faulks' rebuilt/fettled/converted 400 by the end of this year (that is, if he hasn't changed his mind about selling it by then eek). I've been sniffing around Chimaeras for the past four years or so - in fact I've wanted one since I drove Nimag's Irish Blue demonstrator right at the beginning of my career as a motoring hack, in '99 - and by chance, Matt - whom I know from his Saab c900 tuning days - had built one to just about exactly my 'ideal' spec. He's put a lot of work in it, and it shows in the driving experience.
Imagine my surprise when I spotted a Chimaera that looks exactly like 'mine', like twice in a couple of weeks time, on my daily commute - I normally see about 2-3 TVRs on the road in a year!
I've also seen a Chimaera in the same colour going the opposite way when on the A13, between Rijswijk and Delft - pretty sure it must've been you, also.

<EDIT> Dink, Peter (and Marki) - are you all coming to BadR on the 16th? If so, we should declare this the first offical NL PH'ers meet!

The 16th?

I've booked an all day sauna already, damn shame.

I've spend my youth in Delft BTW, and spot a TVR every few weeks . . . Chims mostly.

Have fun at the BadR, please post some pics.

I'll give a full report of sunday 10th

Thats interesting. A TVR dealer in the UK is advertising a Sagaris for sale as - the last to come out of the old factory.

I would be very suprised if anything came out of the "new factory" during September/October.

Hi Eric,

Could very well be me on the A13 as well, but there are more Chims in the area (however in other colors).
Can you fill me in on the BadR the 16th? What, how, where, when, who ... See what I can do.

Thanks,
Peter.

Please post up some pics if you can.

These 'in-between' Sagaris models vary from car to car. Interesting, like old Lambo's . . .

Well...and this is strictly to be interpreted in the widest sense possible...as a general rule the lhd Sag's will be the first ones to fall apart and possibly allegedly same might already have had interesting engine issues.

Indeed, it is entirely possible some of the lhd cars may possibly allegedly have left the factory with engines that frankly would be lucky to last 2 miles let alone 2000.

Hmmm... Nimag's demonstrator Sagaris is known in the car hack world to be (a) temperamental and (b) somewhat down on power (by about 100 bhp if you are to believe some reports)...
