Worth 4 months inside that is. Mind you, burgle someones property, steal a car, someones life up and you'll get a waggy finger and on your way naughty lad.

I reckon at least 20 people must have been killed by speeding drivers as a result of this.

As I shall be shortly getting 3 points on my licence for daring to drive at 36mph on a deserted dual carriageway in Woolwich last month, can I just say
shout MY HEART FU9KING BLEEDS.

I don't know if this is the same scamera but it could be the one one described here
In fact it wasn't a scamera as such, just a box with a flash set to whatever speed was deemed 'safe'.The kicker though is that the rest of the works consisted of a CCTV camera from which his van was later spotted on playback.
Very 1984, wonder if the locals knew they were under observation by this Watchman?

Looks like the one - I recognise the wreck from a report a few weeks back on North West Tonight. As you say, it was apparently a traffic 'monitoring' camera, not a speed camera, but the recording equipment was underground, hence the film of him blowing up the scamera was untouched.

I was going to say I had to laugh but really it isn't funny. No no, not the camera, thats funny, but the poor guy who got sent down. As I sat down with the local paper last night I came to the convictions part. Some guy who assaulted a woman and stole her car worth £4000 (Why that bit was in the news I don't know?), I presume it was a jacking but it didn't say. Guess his sentence?

3 years, 5 years. No, he was sentenced to four months, suspended and something like £600 fine!!! The guy walked out of court!

How can beating someone up and stealing there property deserve less of a sentence than this! The mind boggles.
