Finally get my car back tomorrow.

After nearly seven weeks at Austec i will finally get my car back tomorrow.It will feel like being a new owner again,and from what ive been told i will definatly notice the differance.Cant wait.

mines there bluethunder being re built,what was wrong with yours

Loads of bits wrong. Originally went in with a running problem,but there were other issues some i knew about others i didnt.List as follows

1 coil pack playing up along with the wiring to it

2.Clutch slave cylinder knackered

3.Center and top diff bush perished.

4.Throttle bodies were (out)along with tappets

5.New font discs and pads

6.Crack in nearside manifold

7.New E.C.U chip fitted

8.Full service carried out.

Jeez, why did it take them that long?? I'm considering them for next years service, but I would expect all that work to have been done in less than a week!

i must confess to being a short tempered git, mine also has been a while and still will be,however i have been given valid reasons for this and am sure they would apply to the above.cheers Daz

Spent the best part of a week checking the car over,then working out the price on the work to be done,then me agreeing to give the go ahead.I didnt rush them as i had a few other toys to play with,ive also had a busy show season.

I see your car there today.When i got there they were working on NJW 77.Ive got to say mine is a completely different car after they worked on it.Ive no longer got that feeling that when im out in it will i get to my destination.

Was a VERY nice (AFAIK) original Cobra on the rolling road. One of the 'dainty'(early?) Cobras, if you know what I mean?

Its not the other original (dark blue IIRC) that sits on the COB 1 plate. This one was a sort of porcelain blue?

cob 1 was a twin turbo one that ROD LEACH OWNS/OWNED used to live in hertford heath
area they had a car meet on the 3rd sunday or something like that at the GOAT PUB anybody know if they still do it ?????

remember that car from when he owned the Nostalgia Garage .. is that still going? Car had a reputed 700bhp back in the day!! might have even more now ..
