Well after 3.5 years I have sold my beloved T350. I ended up doing a part ex with fellow Piston header John Chester who had advertised his lovely 328 in the classifieds. We exchanged pics and history via email he rang Heath at the factory to verify as I rang Mike at Rardley motors. We agreed a deal I sent my car down on a trailer and his was brought back the same day. I never met John spoke to him or saw his car, as he had not mine!

His car was as described in fact better and it drives like a new car. Not as quick as my T350 obviously but to me it's one of the most beautiful cars ever made. Driving it today has been a joy with the roof off and the lovely weather. It was a pleasure to deal with an honest like-minded petrol head, the smoothest transaction I have ever done

I am amazed no one came to buy my T350 it is one of the highest specced ones ever made, it has a 3.6 400 BHP engine (one of two ever produced the other being Chritof's in Germany) which was recently rebuilt and blueprinted by the factory.

I had two sets of wheels the standard 18" ones and a set of 192 split rims with the correct offsets and the arches altered by the factory to suit. The stereo is something else with a speaker system that is unique. I could go on but if anyone is interested John is selling it on as he took it with that in mind as he has his heart set on a very special Porsche! He has advertised it even cheaper than I did so if anybody is considering a T350 do take a look at my old one its a peach.

I am sure I will be having a TVR again sometime I love em to bits and the guys at the factory are some of the nicest most helpful people you could meet.

I have seemed to have collected a few classic cars now;

1969 Lotus Plus 2
1973 TR6
1960 Mark 11 Jag
1989 E30 M3
1988 Ferrari 328

The amazing thing is my insurance with Aon Classic Car Insurance, which includes 6 track days in the M3 unlimited mileage for the Lotus TR6 and Jag with 5,000 miles for the Ferrari and M3, comes to just over £1,000 fully comp!!!

I understand why you did it but...

Not having a TVR at all is too awful to contemplate.

Why don't you sell your house / flat / wife etc etc and get another TVR too?

After all, who needs a place to live when you've got a Ferrari AND a TVR!!

Derek

Thanks for the abuse! But that Nob plate on the M3 is meant to be as on my Ducati it is

On my V10 Touareg

On my KTM

But you are right having plates like that means I must be....the KTM does get people laughing when its parked up though!

that is a lovely looking 'rari you hve got there! its nice to see one in Nero compared to the usual Rosso red. they are great fun the 328's but i am sure the allure of another TVR will be to hard to resist one day!
have fun with it! thumbup
BTW might be worth looking into fitting a Tubi or bell exhaust on it in the future, they sound great on a 328!

Thanks for the advice, the previous owner had a Quicksilver fitted which sounds lovely, on the original invoice it had air con £1,600 leather dash £850 and leather rear roof lining £550. The other extra it has which is very rare is a glass targa top.

Exactly what wheels you got at the moment? Tell you what I will take you out in the car for a run if ya hubby ok with that!

As for the roof it seems its a rare item made in the USA and is very sought after. Love the car to bits but missing the TVR !

Hubby won't mind & thats why he's my hubby Our current wheels are very boring - I wouldn't mind getting me hands on something 2 wheeled or something to race in or do track days in?

Don't worry Kev your offer was taken at face value mate. Oulton Park would be great - its usually your bruv we see at the track days! I know Dave would love to get his hands on your bruvs ex Monte at the mo, but its a bit too much £'s for a 2nd car right now
