As this is to be my first winter with the T350 I was just wondering what everyone one does over winter. I dont think I will use her over the very grim months so do I put her on axle stands etc, carcoon .........

Views would be greatly appreciated

Not using at all for months gives all kinds of problems unless many hours spent preparing, but still can't avoid all the problems. I've tried it with other cars - though not full air-conditioned carcoon!

Damp/corrosion/seizing/standing probs with clutch, brakes, ignition, electrics & ignition, tyres ...

IMO much better for car & less trouble if you just make sure it's waxoyled annually, very fully dry before you park it, then leave it with conditioner on battery for 3-4 wks and pick a dry salt-free day & get it nice and hot for 50 miles.
More fun too!

Agreed. Nice winters weekend day in the country. A lot less traffic on the roads makes for a fine blast. Just don't push the limits of grip as normal tyres don't offer as much below 6 deg or so.

Same here. On my third TVR. The first two were layed up over the winter and although nothing really serious went wrong, little things that would normally be spotted tended to fester away unnoticed and ended up being bigger issues than they needed to be.

Drove the Tam through some fairly horrendous weather in the Spring time with no ill effects. I'll be getting the waxoil sorted in the next week or so and intend to make sure I take advantage of whatever decent weather comes along over the Winter. Not only will the car be better for being run, I really can't imagine several months without driving it.driving

Just drive it. Take it easy in the wet and if its icy you might need to be especially gentle but theres no reason not to use the car. Can't remember who it was but there was a picture on the Cerb forum of a Cerbie on a very icy road up in the Alps with skies on the roof, the Six is far more benign to drive when its slippery that any of the V8's.

Hi all what's the deal with waxoyling? Is this something I should ask a dealer to do before the grim weather starts, or is it a realistic DIY project? Any rough idea of cost?

I assume the main reason is to stop chassis corrosion? How prone is the 350 to this?

Cheers,

Jerry

Agreed.
Drive it daily as a commuter to work.
Albeit a 5 min drive, it's used in all weathers.

to be honest there is nothing that will stop me driveing my tam all rear round - would be a shame (should be a crime!) to leave it in the garage
