Not using at all for months gives all kinds of problems unless many hours spent preparing, but still can't avoid all the problems. I've tried it with other cars - though not full air-conditioned carcoon!
Damp/corrosion/seizing/standing probs with clutch, brakes, ignition, electrics & ignition, tyres ...
IMO much better for car & less trouble if you just make sure it's waxoyled annually, very fully dry before you park it, then leave it with conditioner on battery for 3-4 wks and pick a dry salt-free day & get it nice and hot for 50 miles.
More fun too!

Same here. On my third TVR. The first two were layed up over the winter and although nothing really serious went wrong, little things that would normally be spotted tended to fester away unnoticed and ended up being bigger issues than they needed to be.
Drove the Tam through some fairly horrendous weather in the Spring time with no ill effects. I'll be getting the waxoil sorted in the next week or so and intend to make sure I take advantage of whatever decent weather comes along over the Winter. Not only will the car be better for being run, I really can't imagine several months without driving it.

Just drive it. Take it easy in the wet and if its icy you might need to be especially gentle but theres no reason not to use the car. Can't remember who it was but there was a picture on the Cerb forum of a Cerbie on a very icy road up in the Alps with skies on the roof, the Six is far more benign to drive when its slippery that any of the V8's.
