On the way to work this moring I saw something that I've not seen before in 30 years of driving.Going North on the M1 just south of Tinsley viaduct lots of brake lights coming on in front of me,traffic stops then restarts quite slowly then we're back up to running speed, the reason....in the inside lane there's a farm tractor and trailor doing about 15mph! He had no escort and no beacon on.Is this legit?

It's an agricultural vehicle and a MUST NOT so he shouldn't have been on there.

Bit off his patch then on Tinsley viaduct!!

Perhaps going to deal with an outbreak of rustling amongst the herds of prime beef stock sweeping majestically across the rolling plains of Templeborough. Then again.

Maybe he thought he was on the A55 in North Wales...

An alleged 'motorway standard' road... but still an A-road (tractors and other slow stuff welcome!). It was vehicles attempting to pass a slow tractor travelling in the inside lane, that showed a marked reluctance to do more than 20mph, that caused it all to go slow (and incur laundry bill) while I was towing a heavy load at 60 in the outer of the two lanes by St Asaph last month...

Whilst your quite right, maybe he has the same attitude as a growing number of vehicle drivers, who seem to think the highway code applies to everyone except them..... meet more of them every day.

...and absolutely nothing's done about it! A real pet-hate!

Saw a tractor and trailer once on the M56 near Chester when I were a lad.

Also have seen 2 cyclists on the hard shoulder of the M74 - 2 abreast heading southbound!

Then there was the family standing in the central reservation of the M1 whilst daddy changed a wheel in the outside lane!! 999'd that one! yikes

Funniest had to be on the M62 - traffic slowed due to a large bull up the side of the cutting and two rather nervous Bib trying to round it up!
