I'm gonna vouch for that too....

They are pretty nippy....my mk2 8v, which has had a few mods usually sees off much larger competitors......but his time, couldn't get passed him and then once we hit 0.9 he started pulling away cleanly....

The Diesels are getting quicker and quicker.

I've had fast diesels in the past as company cars and i'd assumed that the GT Tdi 170 would be the ideal car for me.

Turns out when i actually do the maths, the petrol GTI 2.0 FSI is only another thirty quid a month in tax... no brainer as far as i'm concerned: ordered my GTI yesterday.. :-)
