Does anyone else find the lens cap fitting a little naff?

"Enable shutter release without CF card" setting is frustrating. Its the default setting on purchase, and a 'reset factory settings' reverts back to this setting. Ive lost a whole shoot due to this in the past.

My biggest gripe (on the 30D) is with the 'oh so easily' jogged dial on the back. I often accidentally switch between F11 and 13, which after setting my lights up leaves me with photos which are incorrectly exposed rolleyes

The 5d has two settings, one that ignores the jog dial for stop adjustment, and one that works.

Interestingly I curse it the other way around, I'm forever not turning the on-off switch far enough around which means the jog dial doesn't change the f-stop!

Never come a cropper on the shoot without cf though.

This sounds good. A beep when changing aperture might also be nice.

The lens cap is very difficult to fit properly, as it clips into the threads on the lens; so you end up with it not fitting straight. Which is annoying if you have a thing about neat fitting stuff...

At the opposite end of the spectrum, the d50 wheel requires you to use the all the strength in your thumb to turn it.

1/ no, myabe just my small fingers lol

2/ no, only lost a couple of shots due to it but I normally check the camera first anyway

3/ you can just put the on switch up one click which disables the back wheel (do you not check the histograme after each shot (you should)

4/ I thought an experienced stock whore like yourself would be beyond these petty kicks in the teeth lol

I mentioned the lens cap because frankly, it is a bit naff, and Im assuming the fitting is the same on all canon SLRs. Doesnt bother me one bit. Im unlikely to ever reset all camera settings again and loose any shots either

Sorted

I dont check the historectomy thingy, because Im such a cracking 'stock whore' I know precisely how my light tent shots will turn out before shooting them

I really like the 30D but I have found the similar frustrations.
