Saw this going round a few times.

Quite quick, nice engine noise but not as loud as the 3.5ltr V6 racers IMO.

No FIA stewards around so the Conducteur was able to entertain the crowds a little.

Very dissapointed with the after event traffic control, or lack off, otherwise great weekend.

Going back to the A42 on Saturday was a piece o' cake, although I heard that going to and from the M1 was pretty horrendous.

Was a bit of a joke but apparently they were applying (or not) the same 'successful' approach they used for the Download Festival and then the MotoGP event.

I waited around and chatted to a couple of the security guys.

The security people apparently counted about 73,000 people today - higher than the 54k reported over the tannoy. A similar percentage higher for the Saturday as well according to them. Seems a bit high to me but it certainly was busy enough both days.

All of the traffic guidance I saw heading back into Donington was managed by just the event security staff. Quality unknown. I think the early finish (relatively) also allowed people to hang on until the end whereas at a normal meeting people start to drift off about half way through and so spread the load on the roads a little.

Other than that it was disappointing to find that the FIA PC approach to competitive racing had found its way to Donington - or was it the influence of World Cup referees and a case of how many red and yellow cards could be issued? Seems that a lot of the Saturday results had been changed overnight and a fairly private bout of fisticuffs oafter one of Saturday's races resulted in an exclusion from the meeting and the announcement of such to all 54/75k attendees.

Nothing like washing soiled linen in public is there.

Power trip?
