Hi this is my first post on here

When I turn the key to the second click the oil pressure guage swings all way round to the maximum.

This morning I have discounted the wire on the sender unit thinking this would be the problem, but even with the wire discounted it still reads maximum.

So the problem sounds as though its either the guage or the wiring for it.

How do I remove the guage from the dash??
Has anybody had the same problem?? And solved it?

I have search but the sender unit seems to be the common problem

Thanks for any help,

Stew

To get the gauge out you will need to take the dash top off first. There are plenty of threads describing this very unpleasant task, search for "dash removal" after that the gauge is an easy removal.

Thanks Jason.

I have removed the top part of the dash and found the gauge to be faulty.

I just have to source another now.

There are a couple of TVR breakers, eg Douglas Valley that could help. Be careful that in addition to the variety of face and bezel colours, there are also at least 2 different diameters of the minor gauges.
