Venture shield

Just had the VY Z06 fitted with a full Venture Shield kit. Full front section including the head and fog lights, lower third of the bonnet, backs of the mirrors, rear of the front arches, full lower door sills, and front of rear wheels.
Have to say, real pleased with the result! Unless you are really looking for it, you car`nt tell its there. The only bit you can see is the finished edge on the bonnet.
Great service from the installers Covertech Midlands.
Had two issues with the install and it was sorted straight off, even though they had been paid in full. Rare to have that kind of service!
Time will tell, but I think its money well spent.

Is that a C6 Z06? I didn't know they had the patterns over here. How much was it?
I must say that Corvette paintwork (despite the orange peel) is a lot tougher than Ferrari paint.
After 3 track days (and following Cheeky!) I would have seen loads of stone chips on an F355 or F430. The Z06 is holding up pretty well. Will probably just spring for a front end respray when/if it looks too bad.

I had mine done at around £550 all the front mirors etc within about 500 miles I had a stone go stight into & damage the paintwork the air bubbles never went away even after eight weeks & parts started lifting ended up with a refund & some money towards the paintwork repair! Hope you have better luck with yours!!
I had a quote from a the local franchise is Edinburgh and he wanted j1000 to do my C3. You can get a hell of a lot of paintwork done for that!!
BTW I had a lot of advice from James Pearce who runs a C3 and a Ventureshield franchise in Australia called "Invisible Car Bra's". he thought that my quote was extorsionate. He also advised that the car should be thoroughly powerwashed before, to get rid of any loose grit that come out of panel gaps etc during the process and he always clay bars the paint that is to be protected before applying the film. My guy in Edinburgh did neither!

You could always reduce the level of stone chips by not being quite so good at keeping up! I doubt you'd have had ANY on a F355 or F430

You could always reduce the level of stone chips by not being quite so good at keeping up! I doubt you'd have had ANY on a F355 or F430

Hehe! I dunno, F430s handle pretty well and are very short geared. I totally ruined the front of a club car chasing Simon George's Murcielago and the F430 was clearly quicker on the twisties.
But I am impressed by the Corvette's paint and having read the replies above, I will not be bothering with any type of paint protection...
