Reliability....

I dont think they are 'unreliable' in the sense of 'that damn thing is just so unuseable'.
Each car is different but I guess you will have a niggle every 3 months and a breakdown once a year.
Niggle examples seem to include = cant open boot, air con doesnt work, big fuse, air temp sensor goes, oil prssure relief spring needs changing, porous wheels, general lxs etc...
Breakdowns include = flat battery, big fuse, starter gives up etc
They can be used as an every day car (not for me).

Rob's right, you shouldn't expect micra reliability,
if you get a good one then the faults, which they all have will have been ironed out (hopefully)
Off topic, Rob I met your mum the other day. Was at the Shell garage (eaton green road) she came over telling me how her son was mad for Cerb's and was one of the furballers.
I live about 30 seconds away from Whitehill.

My Cerbs been supremely reliable compared to my wifes last BMW cabrio. That poxy thing was always back at the dealers until after 1 year we demanded they source us a replacement. Which they did.
Most Cerbera problems are just niggly electrical gremlins and such. But if your half handy with a set of spanners they're no more problematic to run than any other car IMO.

We've a jaguar KX at work that's into the dealers every month for something to be done on it. My Primera had to have a new engine after 6 months due to the ECU being wrongly configured (allegedly - I think they forgot to put oil in during it's service and then test drove it!).

Second that, I ran an XK8 for 12 months and had over 12k in warranty work in that period, including an entirely new gearbox and diff, and two complete cooling systems.
The same period in my Cerb was £6k over 12000 miles, but included Nitron suspension, stereo upgrades, two services, new clutch a week before I sold her, and fixing everything the previous owner hadn't done!
