Washing and polishing

With the car being non metal, is there any special polish to use or can you just use normal polish??

Normal polish works fine.

I use mothers 3 stage kit with an orbital buffer and it does a cracking job.

Think i got it from someone who posts on the chim forum, his website was maxwaxx or something like that.

I think you may have opened a can of worms as everyone has there own methods of detailing

It's the paint you're working on, not the material underneath.

Bare Gel coat maybe different but paint, I believe, is paint.

i use autoglym and meguirs tech wax
but i'm going to use some BLITZ PURE CARANUBA WAX tonight i used to use it, its expensive
£30 a tin (not zymol expensive) but does a great job

A mate of mine is a motor trader and he got me a 5 litre container of carnauba wax a couple of years ago. It's the best stuff I've ever used, the shine it buffs up to is incredible. One of the best tenners I've ever spent....apart from in Amsterdam, but that's a completely different thread
