I recently bought the Maserati emblems that are normally fitted to the new Quattroporte on the rear pillar (with the spear going through the bottom of the Trident).

I've noticed a few 3200's and Coupes with them and saw a car at the Graypaul Edinburgh open day (Sunday) with the same - think it was an Assetto Corsa. I don't know if they were an option at the time or just available after market.

What do you think to them on Grigio Touring 3200GT - tacky or class?

Have put these badges on mine; they break up the big heavy rear 3/4 panels nicely and definately add class!

I would put them on. Mine had them when i got it, but would have added them anyway. The space seems to be made for it. I even have V8 badges on the front wings.
If You like them, then do it, you didn't buy the car to please everyone else did you?

I concur - they fit the 4200 GT quite well.

How can they be tacky, they are fitted to newer 4200s and new Quattroportes..

if you want to.. do it, after all, it is a class emblem, and one to be proud of....

cheers..

As Johnnyboy says, your car, your choice... my palate would be to leave it as-is (in its true, original form) but there ya go... the only tacky thing (emblem-wise) is fitting the 90th anniversary badge on the front wings, which (in the true 90th anniversary cars) is butted into the bodyshell, making the wanna-be's just too obvious.

Only word of caution is that those C-pillar badges are a magnet for young scrotes who would pull them out just to have an extra souvenir... resulting in potential damage to the paintwork... and I guess you would not be amused by that.

That said, do as-you-wish.

thanks for the feedback - mixed opinions which is great

MC_BLUE - yours appear in the photo to have red stripes running across the Trident?

I haven't decided yet - I'll let you know what happens!

@ s2 dpd - I'm not sure why it differs. The picture is taken off a brand new GranSport.
