Always a good day out, you can get into the 'pits' and chat to the owners/drivers. Well worth it. Last year Chrysler's 1000bhp 'Bruiser' was in attendance - the noise!...
You get an excellent collection of modern and classic road and track cars doing their stuff down the 1/4 mile.

Usually the first weekend in September.

I try and go every year as I live in Brighton. It's 10 quid to get into the pit area which is well worth it. You get to stand right next to the cars in the staging area...Highlight for me was standing 2 ft away from a Ferrari F40 doing a burnout!
You can also wander round the pits and talk to the owners if they look approachable.
Bad points are lack of parking, and some of the lower powered classes get a bit boring.
