They've obviously got some money to spend, he won't have been cheap! I wonder if they can get hold of a decent engine too?

I think he's attracted by the small team opportunity - for him to mould the car without too much inteference from those who think they know better. Some might also say that he's taken the job as it can do no harm to his reputation - by definition, even if he builds a Toyota clone, it'll stll be better than what Midland have at the moment.
