Might be looking to replace my workhorse Scorpio with something and this sort of thing sprang to mind.

I had one precisely like that as a rental car in Oz in 1999. Can't remmeber much about it other than that's what got me interested in these cars. It drove very well, very torquey, can't remember how thirsty it was but would have remembered if it was really bad I reckon. Go for it, it'll be going cheap.

I have a v6 auto and they are pretty good on juice if you drive them sensable like anything i probably get about 500KM out of a 75L tank on the motorway if you want to know anything else PM me

There looks to be better cars out there with much easier spares availability etc tbh.

Yeah mileage wont be much better than LS1. Plus power is around 135KW from memory. Maybe 140KW.

The V6 is definitely ALOT better around town etc for fuel, when compared to the Monaro, that is for sure. They are a pretty reliable car as well, and well the only thing that you will probably need is alternator at some stage, a water pump, and at 300,000km a new refurb on the transmission.

Depends on what he wants for it... Think that one went for £6k, as remember it when it came up on ebay.
