Well they're made by Nissan, which generally means reliable, tuneable and fairly cheap/easy to work on. Just make sure you get one thats been looked after, a lemon of any brand will eat your money like nothing else.

My car's little 'bro

As mentioned, buy one that's been looked after.......and look after it yourself and it'll look after you.

Nissan, crap badge, great car.

The 200sx is a bloody good car if looked after and set-up properly.

Hi Lennyjs

I bought a 200SX Touring in 2000. It was only 12 months old the original owner had paid £26,500 for it, I ended up paying £16,000. It was in that Purple colour that you only ever see Skylines in, so as soon as I saw it I knew I was going to buy it.
The only thing I was told to look out for was white smoke from the exhaust, indicating turbo trouble. The interior is nothing to write home about, all plastic and cheap looking even with full leather option. Servicing is cheap and these cars are ultra reliable, giving loads of mpg even when thrashed.
Things I remember most about Her, Smooth, Quiet, No-one thinks they're quite as quick as they are, cheap to run, group 17 insurance.
Find a nice one, you won't be disappointed.

Regards
Simon.
