Relocation to UAE

Well, the time has come to find a new challenge, so I am trying to locate a job in the UAE, preferrably Dubai.
Anyone have any tips/gotcha/opportunities they care to share on job hunting out there. I am trying the Gulfnews (not much use), bayt.com (a little better) and sites like monstergulf.com, but any other pointers welcome.
I won't go into the reasons for wanting to relocate, as that will a beer fueled Friday night posting, hopefully some time in the near future.

hmmm, depends what industry you are in. i have been seconded to a contractors out in KL and was in dubai last month for a few weeks. They are desperately looking for good ex-pats in the costruction industry.
But be warned, the cost of livin in Dubai, has shot up a lot in the last year. ex-pat packages are not as enticing as they used to be. Apartment rentals are on par with central London and NYC but the town is still a toytown in the middle of the desert.
