Changed the clutch fluid on exiting the tunnel and gearbox came back to life. Had a moment with it after 10 miles but got home OK at 9.45.
Handling was a bit werid with all that lager in the back!!!
The roads are crap over here and too slow.
Just brought Pinnacle video software. Has anyone got any footage of the Champagne region and the top of Stelvio?
Great trip - Thanks Dom and Driving Adventures.
Will start posting photos tomorrow.
Cheers

Its not the first time that car has been in that region ....
Hope you had a great trip.

Damm and I thought we were the first - I wanted to stop by the Verve field but Ian wouldnt stop knowing I would have taken half of the vines to bring back home. John - I want the cow driving shoes from your missus. They are fantastic

Hi Guys,
We managed to get home OK also, although after talking to Chris (sheep shagger) yesterday I am a bit worried what may be coming through the letterbox due to the average speed cameras on the M1 roadworks. I was so tired I have no idea what speed I was doing through there so I will have to wait & see on that one.....
What a great trip though! Fantastic roads, great scenery, great weather and great people! A big thank you to Darren, Graham, Amy & Dave as well as Dom & Ian for their help and advice with my own car problems during the trip.
After blasting down the French motorway with you guys on Monday Cat is now determined to get her own TVR also...
Cheers for now
Jon

Really enjoyed the trip.. What a fantastic experience! A big thank you to all the guys, especially Dave who navigated us to the hotel safely on the last evening after breaking down.
Glad to hear you got home ok John (Austin P). How many crates of larger did you manage to stow away in the back of your Cerb...? Very handy, all that extra space. I had to store mine in the footwell. Surprised my champers didn't pop its cork from the heat with having to keep the blowers on to prevent the chim overheating!
Being given the chance to drive some of the way back through France on the last morning has prompted me to look for a TVR of my own (what a buzz). Hopefully will have one ready for the South of France trip, I really want to go. Will be going at it alone this time. Anyone booked yet?

Hi folks - I thought it was time a visual angle was put on this thread.
So which one to choose from best part of 1000 shots?
I decided on the one Kerry (ref Griff) took for me when I jokingly suggested he climb the mountain behind us to get an overhead picture of some of the cars with 2 of Switzerlands most infamous passes beneath them.
To my amazement, he grabbed my camera and did exactly that - and this was the result.

What a fab looking trip!
MUST do that one year, looks brilliant.

Driving with your head looking out of your door window (or if its a left hander, thru the left windscreen pillar) up the hill (checking for it to be clear of push bikes, motorbikes and cars) so you can use all the road, in 2nd gear pushing the back end round now looking ahead. A huge snowscaped peak in the background off the edge of the hairpin just gets closer and closer on every hairpin, waterfalls appearing on nearly every one, watch out for the large one coming down! Well I tried my best..for now! I went on the racing green one Darren did 2 weeks before this one.
