Just been speaking to place where I traded it in last November & was told they have only just got a buyer for it eek

Guess how much they took for it.........

03 plate
20000 miles
£1000 stereo upgrade

Wait for it.........

£14000

I told him if I'd have known I'd have bought it back myself for that money.

That has to be rubbish. Mine was similar spec 03 plate (18k on the clock) Grey outside / black leather in. Sold For the asking price almost overnight and had over 20 phone calls in 5 days.

Son long as its been looked after.. i really dont see the problem.

Seems upon speaking to him later this afternoon that it was put through auction, upon where it was proded & poked & things mysteriously went missing, scratches appeared, etc, etc. They didn't get reserve so it didn't sell.

Then whilst back at the dealers it was 'ragged' by someone & the engines gone.

Its been sold to a private buyer in London for £14k requiring an engine rebuilt.

Still, not a bad price.

As I said to him. If I'd have know I may have bought it back myself.

And, yes, I got £21k for it.

Sad to hear of these things happening to an old motor you've owned. Hope the car is 'resurrected' by someone who cares

Oh that is very sad. When I left TVR ownership in January the selling dealer (who bought it back) didn't want me to take it into the dealer who was supplying it's replacement.

Basically the TVR dealer was concerned that the Sales Manager of the Vauxhall dealer would of jumped in it and proceeded to trash the engine.

Stupid dealer, its their own stupid fault then. At the end of the day they could have stuck it on ebay and got £19-20k straight off. Lets hope it goes to a good home and gets some TLC.
